How long have you been weaving?
I have been weaving for 4 years now.

What are your favourite things to weave? Do you have a favourite design or colour?
I enjoy weaving anything in green—it’s my favourite colour to work with.

Is there something you would like to learn to weave? If so, what?
I would love to learn how to weave a hat.

Where is your favourite place in Rwanda or around Gisenyi?
Kigali.

How has it been working in a community with other ladies?
Being in the community has been a blessing. I’ve gained meaningful friendships with the other ladies, which has made my journey even more enjoyable.

How has the income from weaving helped you?
The income has helped me develop myself, buy medical insurance for my children, and start saving. With my savings, I am now able to access loans from the bank.

What is your biggest dream? Is there something you would really like to achieve in the coming years?
My biggest dream is to one day sit in an airplane, even if it’s just for a few minutes. I also hope to get more and more clients for my products to grow my business.
